Disney Magic: Halloween on the High Seas – Day 3: Nassau, Pirate Night, and Fireworks at Sea!
Intro
Day 03 of the 4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale on the Disney Magic, found us on Nassau, The Bahamas. This is the last stop before a Day at Sea and our return to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and I was excited to see the new open market at the Cruise Port.
4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale: Day 3 – Cove Cafe, Cabanas and Arriving to Nassau
We started the day at the Senses Spa Fitness Center, and after getting ready, we went for some coffee at the Cove Cafe, where we noticed this selection of pastries decorated with the Halloween themes. All of them were included in the price of the cruise. Only the drinks are to be paid in Cove Cafe.

We then went to Cabanas, where we had a really good breakfast, knowing that we would be in port at our own pace, and maybe to try to avoid buying lunch there. I really do not like the food in the tourist part of Nassau, but I am sure there are nice spots to eat there.

From the cruise you could see all the ships docked right next to us. It was going to be a full day in Nassau port.

We went to the upper deck on the Disney Magic, and had to take some pictures of the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas. It’s funny that we have never been able to go into this hotel, but I went to the sister one in Dubai lol.

Before we went into the port, we passed by the Black Panther meet and greet. And maybe Wakanda for the day.

- Visit Dolphin Cay: Interact with dolphins
- Stroll through Marina Village: Shop and enjoy an evening stroll
- Visit the Junkanoo Edu-Culture Museum: Learn about Junkanoo, a national celebration
We did not have too much time in port, since tonight was going to be the Pirates Night aboard the ship, so we just basically took a stroll around the new renovated Cruise Terminal and got into some of the stores.

Then we walked toward the Junkanoo Beach to chill for some time. There are beautiful visuals on the way there.

And 4 cruises were docked in Nassau that day, including the huge Royal Caribbean‘s Allure of the Seas, that I would get on in February 2025. It was nice seeing it up close. The Disney Magic looked so tiny among all these big ships.

We made it to Junkanoo Beach, with its pristine water, looking like a natural pool, and we looked for a nice bar to relax. After sitting down in one, we got some pina coladas, just like the day before in Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. The drinks were strong lol. One time I was in Nassau with a friend, we went to Senor Frogs, and the bartender made our drinks with the most alcohol ever. I got so tipsy after a couple of sips. I said I would never do that again, but at least I felt stronger today lol.

Time to go back into the ship, and we walked the Cruise Terminal and stopped in a couple more stores on the way there.

We also passed by the Museum of Junkanoo. It looks interesting, maybe I will pay a visit when I return there.

4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale: Day 3 – Back on the Disney Magic
It was a relatively long walk back to the cruise, but we made it, and getting in was super easy. The cast members were waiting with cold towels and drinks at the entrance of the cruise, which was really nice to see. Back inside, we could see the Allure of the Seas one more time.

And the port including a view of the Aquadunk coming out of the cruise. I was going to try to get on it on the next day. I was going to try to get on it the next day on Day at Sea.

As the guests would return to the ship, more and more activities were being added to the app, and it seemed it was going to be a very eventful evening.

4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale: Day 3 – Pirate Night Dinner
On this day, the rotational dining was once again in the same restaurant as the day before. For us it was Lumiere’s, but the difference was that all restaurants would serve the same menu: Pirate Night Menu, which of course had a lot of seafood involved, but other dishes more traditional of the Caribbean.
For starter I got the Angelica’s Lime Marinated Shrimp, which was very tender and nice. Something quick to eat to start. For Pirate Night the stateroom hosts would leave some bandanas with some pirate theming on top of the bed, so we put them on for this evening. Some people also dressed up as pirates.

The main dish naturally had to be also seafood, and I had to get the grouper, since it looked so good. The cilantro and beans gave it a nice texture and flavor.

I also ordered the pasta, but basically only to eat the scallop and shrimp lol.

The restaurant looked really great, and many people were wearing their bandanas and pirate costumes.

For dessert, I got the sundae once again. I felt maybe something too solid would be difficult as the last dish for the night.

4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale: Day 3 – Some Pirate Night Activities
After dinner, we explored the ship, seeing all the different pirate related activities that were being offered. For example, Mickey Mouse meet and greet with his pirate attire.

As we walked out the deck, we saw the beautiful sunset in the distance. We were now heading West towards Florida.

Back to the stateroom and it had been done once again, and this time they left a donkey (?) in the bed.

Mickey continued to meet guests through the night until his main event.

But we decided to jump into the D Lounge, for the A Pirate’s Life for Me show which was entertaining at least.

4-Night Halloween on the High Seas Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale: Day 3 – Pirates in the Caribbean Party and Fireworks
Time to go to the Upper Decks and see the show, Pirates in the Caribbean, with the best fireworks at sea.

After Captain Hook took the ship, Mickey came to the rescue on a harness lol.

And the fireworks started!!!

Mickey and friends saved the day and the ship, and the show was over. Very eventful 2 nights on the Disney Magic. We were exhausted.

But first, we got a couple of pizzas, and then went to see a little bit of Deadpool and Wolverine.

These are the movies and shows they were presenting at this theatre.

And we ended the night checking on some door decorations, and we liked this one on our deck!
