Ultimate Guide to Royal Beach Club Day Pass Experience

Intro

It was Day 02 of my Royal Caribbean’s Utopia of the Seas adventure around the Bahamas, and previously I had shown how my day started with breakfast in Johnny Rockets abord the cruise, and exploring more corners of this amazing ship.

However, I wanted to leave an exclusive post for one of the main reasons of taking this specific cruise: visiting Royal Beach Club Paradise Island at Nassau, Bahamas. Yes, I was going to be one of the first guests on this new destination exclusive for Royal Caribbean passengers. And contrary to Perfect Day at CocoCay, this is an excursion that you have to buy to get in, meaning not everyone has access. So, yes, a little bit more exclusive. I had read a lot of good reviews so far, so I wanted to experience it myself. Let’s go!

Getting to Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

This is an excursion like no other. There are no specific times for to you to come in or get out, but the ferries getting into the island do have designated times, so check the app for updates in this regard.

I was not the first one to disembark to go into Nassau, but I did go early. The check in to Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is right on the Nassau Cruise Port, so you do not have to go above and beyond the market to get there.

To be fair, the Check In personnel was a little bit confused, and for some reason they pulled me back while checking in other people. I assumed they assumed I was going to buy it, but I had already purchase the expedition. Anyways, I went back and another lady scanned my room card and I was let in.

After some time, the next ferry arrived. They were really cute. I really loved the color scheme of these boats.

We departed and in the background I could see Atlantis Paradise Island. Another ferry was on the way back from the Royal Beach Club. So yes, there are ferries coming and going all the time within the hours set on the app.

We passed by the mansions of the Eastern part of the Paradise Island, very visible from the port and the cruises in Nassau.

And slowly, but surely, we were almost there at the Western part of the island, where Royal Beach Club was located. The Party Cove building was visible from here.

And from here, we were able to also see the size of Utopia of the Seas, one of the biggest in the Royal Caribbean fleet, next to Radiance of the Seas.

Exploring Royal Beach Club Paradise Island

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is Royal Caribbean’s exclusive beach destination in Nassau, Bahamas. Spanning 17 acres on the western strip of Paradise Island, the club is designed as a luxury all-inclusive day resort accessible via a short, complimentary water taxi ride directly from the Nassau cruise terminal.

Developed through a public-private partnership with the Bahamian government and local businesses, the club blends Royal Caribbean’s signatures with authentic Bahamian culture, food, music, and art.

There are different passes you can pick for this experience, and I got the Day Pass with Unlimited Open Bar, Dining & Wi-Fi, so once we got out of the ferry, we went to the Beach Bar for a Pina Colada.

Key Areas & Atmosphere

The destination is divided into three distinct zones, each offering a different vibe depending on what you want out of your day ashore:

1. Party Cove℠
   • Vibe: Energetic, social, and high-energy with live DJ sets and music.
   • Highlight: Home to The Floating Flamingo, a massive two-level swim-up bar—billed as the world’s largest swim-up bar.
   • Seating: Exclusive daybeds and high-energy poolside seating.
2. Chill Beach℠
   • Vibe: Laid-back, family-friendly relaxation and recreation.
   • Highlight: Features The Shallow End, a zero-entry pool designed for all ages.
   • Activities: Lawn and beach games like cornhole and hook toss, plus calm waters for swimming.
3. Paradise Beach
   • Vibe: Peaceful, classic Bahamian beach escape.
   • Highlight: Pristine white sand stretch with clear waters, shaded lounge areas, and The Deep End pool area nearby for quiet pool lounging.

What’s Included in the Day Pass

Access to the destination requires a purchased Day Pass (available as a Standard Day Pass with non-alcoholic drinks or an Unlimited Open Bar Day Pass). All passes include:

• Transportation: Round-trip water taxi rides from the Nassau cruise pier.
• Beaches & Pools: Full access to all 3 pools, 2 white-sand beach areas, loungers, and umbrellas.
• All-You-Can-Eat Dining: Unlimited casual dining at Paradise Grill locations across the island, serving island-inspired dishes (e.g., Bahamian fish sandwiches, shrimp-on-a-stick, corned-beef fritters, salads, and soft-serve ice cream).
• Beverages: Unlimited non-alcoholic drinks (or open-bar alcohol packages if booked) at 10 watering holes across the property, including 3 swim-up bars and 7 beach bars.
• Essentials: High-speed Wi-Fi, beach towels, lockable storage/lockers, showers, and restrooms.
• Entertainment: Live local musicians, energetic DJs, and organized beach games.

Upgraded Accommodations & Rentals

For extra privacy, dedicated service, or larger group gatherings, several upgraded options are available for rental:

• Beach & Pool Cabanas: Private shaded retreats featuring a personal cabana attendant, sectionals, loungers, ceiling fan, wet bar/mini-fridge, Bluetooth speakers, and lockable storage.
• Party Cove Day Beds: Cushioned daybeds for two with dedicated drink service and pool/ocean views.
• VIP Party Deck: Located in Party Cove for up to 12 guests, offering elevated second-story lounge seating over the pool/ocean, dedicated food/beverage service, and charging stations.
• Ultimate Family Cabana: A massive two-story private retreat for up to 12 guests complete with a private slide into the water, a private whirlpool, frozen drink machine, dedicated attendant, and private bathroom.

Essential Visitor Tips

• Booking: Passes and cabana upgrades must be booked through the Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner (or onboard) as space is capped to prevent overcrowding.
• Beverage Package Notice: Onboard beverage packages (like the Deluxe Beverage Package) do not automatically transfer to the beach club; drinks are tied to the specific pass tier purchased for the island.
• Access Requirements: Accessible via SeaPass card and government ID. The water taxis and island facilities are wheelchair accessible.

This is definitely a great addition to the now repetitive port of Nassau (no offense). I feel like I had done everything in this city ever since I started cruising.

The beach looked amazing, better than many in this town.

I took advantage of the unlimited dining and got myself some Vanilla Bundt Cakes from one of the restaurants.

Started exploring a little bit, and it was kind of amazing to see the Royal Caribbean anchor just there.

For reference, at the other side of the bay you could see Señor Frog’s and Junkanoo Beach.

So many cruises on this day.

Made it to Party Cove, and there was music but it was not super loud, and people weren’t too crazy either. It was still a family area.

Got myself another drink. At this point I was just getting back some of the Day Pass price lol. The WiFi was also really good.

The colors of the water were amazing.

Entered the area of the Cabanas and man, this looks like a lot of fun. Imagine staying here for the day with a big group.

The place was not super crowded, and people seemed to be having a nice time here. So far, I did not have notes for this development.

More sweet drinks to come lol.

Time to eat something, and I picked a Lobster BLT Wrap: Chilled lobster, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and Old Bay ranch wrapped in a tortilla.

And one last snack was a burger and fries because of course.

Back to the cruise

After 4 hours in the island it was time to get back to the ship. I liked this new addition, and it shows why Royal Caribbean is the leader in cruising in the world.

Took the ferry and be aware that they dropped you off on the opposite side of the port, so you have to pass by the market to get back into the ship.

But from there I was able to see the Colombian flag.
