Disney Wish Cruise Day 2: Exploring Nassau and Frozen’s Arandelle Restaurant
Intro
Hey Disney cruisers! 🌊🚢
Welcome to Day 2 of our magical Disney Wish Cruise adventure! Today, we’ve docked at the beautiful Nassau, Bahamas, and the views are nothing short of spectacular. From the majestic Atlantis Paradise Island to the bustling Nassau Cruise Terminal, there’s so much to see and do. 🌴🏝️
We kicked off the day with a scrumptious breakfast at Marceline Market on Deck 11 – yum! 🥞🍳 Then, it was time to explore Nassau’s new cruise port, shop for local treasures, and take in the stunning bay views. Don’t miss the vibrant Nassau Straw Market for unique souvenirs! 🛍️
Later, we hit Junkanoo Beach for some sun and sea, with the Disney Wish and Carnival Liberty ships in the backdrop. We took a peek at Disney’s Oceaneer’s Club, especially in the Star Wars: Cargo Bay. And dinner at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure was simply enchanting. 🍽️❄️ ✨🧳
Arriving to Nassau
In the last blog post we went to bed from Port Canaveral on the way to Nassau, Bahamas. You can take a look of this first Embarkation Day here:\
Disney Wish Cruise: 4-Night Bahamian Adventure – Embarkation Day
When we woke up this second day of the cruise, we were already docked in the beautiful port of Nassau, The Bahamas. It was my third time here and I was not super excited to go out, since I feel I have done everything that interests me within my budget, but I wanted to check the newly renovated cruise port, that was under construction for all those years that I had been visiting this island.

After getting out of our interior stateroom, we took a look outside and saw the beautiful and colorful new cruise port with the restaurants and shops, ready to receive us. I was excited to take a look of it.

But first, we had to stop at Marceline Market for some breakfast, and we went traditional with the bacon, eggs, and a bunch of fruit. I also loved those salmon trays, love the cruise seafood!

Exploring the New Cruise Port and Nassau
The new cruise port or terminal of Nassau really impressed me. We got out of the cruise with our passports and our Keys to the world. It was the first time we were seeing how big the Disney Wish cruise was, since in Port Canaveral is difficult to see it standing next to it.
We quickly went into the cruise port, and starting checking the shops, and I was greatly surprised with all the architecture of the cabins. From their website:
“This exciting transformation includes the construction of a new terminal building, a Junkanoo museum, event & entertainment spaces, a 3,500-person Amphitheatre, a taxi dispatch center, unique local stores, and new food and beverage facilities. Through a well-planned, customer-centric design, passengers will flow easily into downtown Nassau to experience the vibrant flavour of this 300-year-old city.”

We continued walking out of the new port and the views were just amazing.

After a quick stop at a Starbucks, and getting some Frappuccinos, we passed by the Nassau Straw Market, where you can find all kinds of arts and souvenirs from The Bahamas.

Junkanoo Beach
One of my favorite spots in Nassau is Junkanoo Beach, and from here you could see our cruise in the background. Loved all the water very clear on this perfect day.

Junkanoo Beach in Nassau, Bahamas, is a lively stretch of soft, white sand and crystal-clear waters. Just a short walk from the cruise port, it’s perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. The beach offers stunning views, creating a picturesque paradise. 🌞🌊

We went into one of the bars, and got some Pina Coladas because of course! And then enjoyed the live music and relaxed in this paradise.

Star Wars: Cargo Bay & Disney’s Oceaneer’s Club
We went back into the ship after getting some Dairy Queen, and relaxed in the stateroom for a while. The heat was definitely killing us, but we managed. We got ready again, and Rey was meeting at Star Wars: Cargo Bay at the Disney’s Oceaneer’s Club. Since it was on the same Deck 4 where our stateroom was located, then we planned to go there.

Unfortunately, the line to meet her was pretty long, but I loved the Star Wars: Cargo Bay section of the Oceaneer’s Club. I wish I knew if they had an open house or something similar to go explore the Marvel section as well.

I was surprised there were animatronics in this room, like this little porg.

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure: The Show
Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure was our second rotational dining experience, and we had the first dining time, around 5:30 PM. After we got ready once again, we went in direction of this restaurant located in Deck 5, just one floor above.

The theming was definitely everything, I felt like I was really visiting Arandelle in this point and time. Very immersive.

But the illusion ended, when we were seated next to a window, where we could see the ship leaving port (it was at the very rear/aft). Unfortunately, and not usual in me, I was so upset with the designated table that I almost snapped at my host. I said sorry, and we just seated in hopes to get some view of the main stage and the show.
After some bread service, and ordering, the show started. We had been seated with the same people from the Worlds of Marvel restaurant, and they seemed also a bit upset we were so far away from the main stage. Regardless, the show started, and Queen Anna, Elsa and Kristoff showed up.

The show was cute, and in between meals other cast members would be performing the original songs from Frozen 1 and 2. Also, the main characters walked the restaurant, very quickly, just like Spider-Man on the day before, but with the difference that they did not pass by every table, but it was still close. The Olaf animatronic also passed by the tables.

The dinner ended with more of the show on the main stage, and I loved every second of it. It is kind of distracting while you are eating, but I get it, that is the point.

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure: The Food
Ok, now back to the food. As I said, we had ordered our food as soon as the bread service arrived. Everything came really quick, and for the appetizer I got the Elsa’s Royal Baked Scallops, which had shrimp tarragon bisque, rainbow carrots, leeks, and a flaky pastry. I loved the pastry, and the scallops were just perfect.

Also for appetizer I got the Pan-seared Chilean Bass: White Asparagus, Petite Leeks, Savoy Spinach, Romanesco, Peas, Kohlrabi, Rainbow Carrots, Seared Scallop, Pea Tendrils, and Mjod (mead) Vinaigrette. Was not a super fan of the presentation, but it was good enough.

For the entree I got the Garlic &Thyme Roasted Beef Rib-Eye, double-baked potato, buttered broccoli, sweet honey-roasted carrots, cabernet jus (gluten free). I got it medium rare and let me tell you, it was just like I it, very bloody and delicious. I think it was already too much food and protein for these dishes, but I really wanted to try as much as I could. I was going to go to the gym later to compensate.

Finally, for dessert, I got the “It’s Elsa’s Coronation Sundae”: Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, Marshmallows, fresh Whipped Cream, Snowflakes. It was way better than I expected, and it was huge too.

But talking about huge, we also got the Troll’s Family Rock Family Bar: Chocolate Cake, Pistachio Cookie Rocks, Elderflower Meringue. It was super dense and super chocolatey. With this dessert I was definitely done for the day, lol.

The Rose
After a very well deserved nap in the stateroom, which followed a quick adventure into the Senses Fitness Center, we decided to end the night in The Rose, the lounge located at the entrance of Enchante and Palo Steakhouse on Deck 12, and that obviously is a nod to the Beauty and the Beast.

The lounge is amazing and quickly became our favorite, followed by Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge. The wine selection here is great. I loved the servers too, really good explaining all the wines for wine newbies like us.

And after a while and very late at night we went back into the room to find this towel animal, very cute! Tomorrow it was my second time ever into Disney’s Private Island: Disney’s Castaway Cay. I was so excited about, and you can read about it soon.
