Mickey’s Toontown
The newly open Mickey’s Toontown was the place to go if you wanted to see the latest on Imagineering design, so a lot of people rushed there when the doors of the park were opened.

Located at the very very back of Fantasyland (I guess it is its own land), Mickey’s Toontown is a vibrant, cartoon-inspired neighborhood featuring iconic characters’ homes, interactive attractions, and whimsical adventures.

But the most important attraction here, was the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. I had been able to ride back in Hollywood Studios, but the queue here was completely different.

The immersion is undeniable, you felt like you were part of this cartoon world for sure…

But the real immersion was definitely when the ride actually started. Even though it is a exact same copy of the one in Orlando, the attraction is still very fun from start to end.

Oga’s Cantina at Galaxy’s Edge
But yeah yeah, of course I was not going to come to Disneyland and not visit my favorite land, either on the East or the West: Star War’s Galaxy’s Edge.

I was able to put my name down at the entrance of Oga’s Cantina, and got in within minutes. It was still early in the day in this chilli January in Anaheim, I mean Batuu, but I got a Fuzzy Tauntaun.

I love this bar a lot, and it is one of the few places you can actually find alcohol in Disneyland.

And find nice music from DJ Rex itself.

More of Galaxy’s Edge
Since I was going to spend half of my day in this land probably, I made sure I got into my favorite ride in any of the Disney parks: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

This immersive ride is an experience itself, and take you through a rescue from the hands of the Black Order and Kylo Ren.

Was needing a pick me up, and the best coffee on this park is definitely the Black Caf Cold Brew from Kat Saka’s Kettle. Love the creamy taste, the dark coffee feeling, and the sensation of the toppings.

And to eat, I got myself a Ronto wrap from Ronto Roasters, probably the best hot dog in the entire resort. For real. The breakfast ronto wrap is also really good.

Adventureland
Disneyland is the park with the most history, and of course I gotta visit the most traditional attractions, like for example, Jungle Cruise. It is a little bit different than its counterpart in Florida.

In Adventureland I was able to get also the Dole Whip Float, and oh boy, it was so good. I think it gotta go on a float from now on.

New Orleans Square
It was January, but I was still able to get in Haunted Mansion Holiday, a layover of the classic ride, with elements from The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The day was almost over in this winter trip to Disneyland, and even though it was a little chilli, the park was packed.

I had heard multiple times that the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in Disneyland was way better than the Orlando one, and I had to confirm that myself. Oh boy, I was not ready for that surprising drop *spoiler* and the length of this ride. 10/10 would recommend.

The Blue Bayou Restaurant has a view of this ride, what made it a little bit more interesting.

Love, love, love all the scenes. It is incredible how having less space than in Orlando they were able to add so much to this ride.

From the Monorail
The good thing about the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, is that you are able to walk everywhere, which it is almost impossible in Walt Disney World. While I went away to Downtown Disney, on the way back on the Monorail, I was able to see into Disneyland, and there they were, Chip and Dale saying hi to us during the parade.

From the Monorail, I was also able to see this attraction that I had never seen, the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. I would probably go in it next time.

After getting back into the park, it was almost time for the night, and after the sun set…

…I was delighted by the Fireworks show, that usually only happen during the weekends. Thankfully I was here for a Weekend Birthday trip, and I saw it all. The smaller castle does not really let you see a lot of projections on it, compared to the one in Orlando, but definitely the fireworks show is amazing.
But this is not the only park of this resort. In the next entry I will be visiting the one across the plaza: California Adventure.
