Getting to Orlando

I was excited to start my journey to Orlando, where I would spend a few days celebrating all things Christmas, not only in the theme parks, but in the Resorts, Hotels, Disney Springs and around Orlando.

The LaGuardia airport was also decorated, although in this old terminal.

Once I landed in Orlando, I immediately went to this new chain in this city: Raising Cane’s. It was recommended to me when I watched the TimTracker video about it.

Raising Cane’s and my hotel

I had passed by a couple of also new restaurants in New York, but I had to take the chance to go to the one in Orlando. The line was insanely long, but I managed to grab my food and get on an Uber to the hotel.

I stayed for this night in the Rosen Inn Closest to Universal, which I liked for these kind of short stays. In Raising Cane’s I had ordered The Three Finger Combo, which was a great meal for this night, and the French toast was delicious. I was not too surprised about the chicken fingers to be quite honest.

The next morning I went to the 4 Disney parks in a blog that you’ll see soon, but after that I arrived to my new hotel for the rest of the nights: Universal’s Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites. I really love these more economical hotels, not only for the transportation, but the Starbucks, the store, the size of the rooms. They are just great.

Christmas in Disney Springs

On my third day in Orlando, I went to Disney Springs, to check on Christmas Decorations, but also, finally trying Earl of Sandwich, and the very infamous Holiday Turkey sandwich. I did the order online, and waited for a few minutes until I was finally handled it.

The sandwich was great, again, like that Holiday Burger in Magic Kingdom, the cranberry sauce made sweet and gave some moisture to the turkey.

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll

One thing that I had not done in this part of Disney World had been finding the trees in the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll. I took some time, despite of the crowds, to check on most of them.

There were some Marvel related ones…

My favorite, of course, was the Encanto tree.

Seeing all these trees was magical, and the good thing is that whoever finish the stroll, gets a free large metal button.

Exploring the Resorts

Next up, I took the bus from Disney Springs to Grand Floridian Resort, to check on the beautiful Christmas decorations, and the famous Gingerbread House. The line to get some Hot Cocoa was so long, I decided to skip it for now. I was going to get a lot of free hot cocoa later in the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Time to jump travel to the next hotel, and for the first time I would be using the monorail to go exclusively from one resort to the other.

The Contemporary Resort Gingerbread House was not as big, but offered a nice Christmas decor, just in time before my night event.
