Ultimate Guide to Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Paris Nighttime Shows
Around Val D’Europe
I had arrived to Paris, and came basically almost straight to Disneyland Paris, located at Chessy, France, in the Metropolitan Area of Paris, part of my Round The World Trip 2024. The park is almost easy reachable from the city on the RER A train, and for the first night in Europe, I stayed in ibis Marne-la-Vallée Val d’Europe. After checking in I left for a huge mall on this little town: Centre Commercial Val d’Europe. Unfortunately, and surprisingly it was closing early, so I was not able to walk around. I was hungry, and the only thing still open was McDonald’s, so that would do it.

After getting my food, I walked around Val D’Europe at sunset, which was very magical, but I had a long couple of days in Disneyland Paris Resort.

Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne
The next morning, I went very early to Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne to check in, got a Starbucks Coffee located next to the lobby, and I was shocked they gave me the room right away this early. Maybe the resort was empty? After all it was the Olympics happening right now, and many people avoided coming to Paris.

I had stayed in this same hotel before. I wanted to take advantage of the Early Entry, and also staying on property, as I usually do not do in USA, since it is super expensive. I had gotten tickets for the 2 parks for 2 days.

This hotel was very far away from the parks, but it is a nice walk. Buses also take you into the bus terminal by the Disney Village, their version of Downtown Disney. The room great as always, loved it a lot.

And I was in shocked that they included all these coffee items and chocolates. Nice souvenirs for sure.

Disney Village
Like I mentioned earlier, the Disney Village is the Paris version of the Disney Springs or Downtown Disney, with the add on of the Bus and Train Terminals. It has the Disney Store, multiple restaurants and coffee places, and the PanoraMagique, which I rode in 2018 when I came with my friends. It is a small shopping center, but still nice that it is free and has some variety for everyone.

Walt Disney Studios
From the Disney Village you can access both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney Studios. The first one was very well described in in my last post, and now I was going to compile some information about Walt Disney Studios, the smaller of both parks, and which will become Disney Adventure World in 2026. A lot of construction is happening as 2024, so expect a sort of Wall-COT when you arrive.

Worlds of Pixar
The largest land by far is Worlds of Pixar, which has areas themed around Ratatouille, Cars, Finding Nemo and Toy Story. I was decided to rope drop Ratatouille : L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, the original in which Remy: Ratatouille Adventure was based off. Kind of crazy to be in a Paris styled land in Paris.

In this same area, I went to the sit down restaurant Bistrot Chez Remy, where reservations are recommended. Here, you are basically shrunk to a rat size, so it is amazing to see all these giant elements forming the restaurant.

From the menu, I picked the Remy one that came with a starter and a main course for $45. Not so bad for a sit down restaurant in Disney, plus the serving size was ok. The salad as a starter was great, the vinaigrette gave it a very well deserved kick.

For the main course, I got the grilled steak and French fries. By now, I was so full but I had to eat it all. I got it medium rare and it was amazing. I had to walk around for a bit to help with the digestion.

In the same land, and more in the Toy Story area, you can find multiple rides, like for example RC Racer, which it is definitely worthy to do the line for. Fortunately, there was a Single Rider and was able to do it faster.

If I were here for just one day I would not do this one, but the Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop can be really fun. In the picture on the back is the real ride for dropping you, the Twilight Tower of Terror, located in the same park, but in another land.

More towards the entrance of the land, one of the favorite attractions in the whole Disney Paris, is Crush’s Coaster. The lines were crazy back in 2018, so I sort of rope drop this one on my second day at the parks. The line was already long, but you can say it is a lot of fun. The main building where the actual roller coaster is could be refurbished a little bit though.

Walls everywhere and construction happening all over, but now I was going to the very end of the park, and the very end of this large land.

To Cars ROAD Trip, a sort of Studio Tour, but adapted to the movie Cars. This ride is not open all the time, It was not for most of the day before. The line was extremely long, and this was my second and last day, so I did not want to spend it here forever. That is why for the first and only time ever in this park, I got a Disney Premier Access for this attraction.

It was worthy as I only had to wait around 10 min to be sit, and off we went showing characters and scenes from this franchise.

Here is where I noticed that this was revamped for Cars no? I swear back in 2018 it was the same scene but no IP on sight. Regardless, it looks pretty cool with all the fire and water.

Toon Studio
Toon Studio is the smallest of the land, by the entrance of the park, and the main attraction right now if the Frozen show: Frozen: A Musical Invitation.

The entire thing was very cute, and the public had to move around during this retelling of the first movie.

The song and actors were amazing, and definitely recommend this attraction to stay away from the heat of Summer or the cold of Winter.

Production Courtyard
This land has the Disney Studio 1 which is closed for renovation, but I missed since it has so many things happening inside, but also has the Hollywood Tower Hotel, very similar to the one in Hollywood Studios.

Always so much fun.

And the other thing it has is the Studio Theater with different shows running through different seasons. When I went in Summer 2024, they were offering TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure.

Avengers Campus
One of the first additions to the transformation of Walt Disney Studios was the Avengers Campus. Originated in Disney California Adventure, it was nice to have an escape from the Disney and Pixar characters, into a more adult theme like The MCU and Marvel.

The character interactions are endless.

They also have the revamped version of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster called Avengers Assemble: Flight Force at Avengers Campus. This is the worst roller coaster ever, as it hit my head so much on every turn. They definitely need to make it more smooth. Would never ride again, I am serious, I had to take a Tylenol after.

The next ride was a classic from the original Avengers Campus, and I was glad they had it here: Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, with Tom Holland reprising his roll as Peter Parker.

Last but not least on this land, and this park, was to get a shawarma. Just like in the original Avengers Campus, they sell this, but not from a food truck like in New York, but it is located in Super Diner.

The shawarma was good and very filling, I definitely saved the rest for later.

Because now I was leaving Walt Disney Studios, back to Disneyland Paris.

Waiting for the nighttime shows at Disneyland Paris
When I visited this park, and still as December 2024, there are 2 Nighttime shows back to back on the castle. I made my entry into the park and took my spot, a little bit before sunset.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle was illuminated and hundreds of people were gathering the main plaza waiting for the 2 shows.

Disney Electrical Sky Parade
The first one, and definitely my favorite was the Disney Electrical Sky Parade.

Up to 500 drones parade across the night sky as illuminated floats symbolizing the icons of the Main Street Electrical Parade. These giant shapes blew my mind. I mean I had seen drone shows already in Universal and Disney Springs, but this was another scale.

The pirate boat with the fireworks, like how do they do that. So amazing.

So amazing how the show the Disney Parks in the World, and Paris in the middle.

And the end was just chef kiss. See the video below from Disney itself:

Disney Illuminations
A few minutes after, the Disney Illuminations show started. Fireworks, water shows, projections, lasers, the best Disney Music. It was amazing.

And just like in Shanghai, it also included Star Wars and Marvel.

Just wow, really a great end of my day at the parks.

Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
Just after the parks closed, I went to my reservation at Skyline Bar at Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. It is always nice to walk around this hotel, and it was midway to my hotel so why not.

This is a full bar and shows the NYC skyline with the Avengers Tower in it of course.

And just like that, my 2 days in Disneyland Paris Resort came to an end. The Round the World Trip 2024 continued, and now I had almost 2 weeks in Paris, enjoying the city and the Olympics, but that is coming up in the next posts.
