Your Ultimate Guide to Universal Studios Beijing
I had a fun morning and afternoon in Universal Beijing, and now I was at the WaterWorld Stunt Show, similar to the one in Hollywood:

It’s a nice chance to get some shade in this sunny day, and enjoy a nice stunt show. Although, if you want, you can also get all wet by seating in the blue bleachers down.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
A land that is basically in every Universal park city is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and as a big fan I had to come and visit. As you enter, it is very similar to all the other Hogsmeads in the world.

But the Hogwarts Castle, where Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey is located, has a small problem and it’s that the ride’s building is totally visible next to the castle ruining the illusion. I hope sometime they try to do something, like covering with plants or a fake mountain side. The ride itself was good, I think the screens look better than the ones in Orlando, probably because it’s a bit newer.

After the ride, I HAD to drink the famous Butterbeer, which I always get from the Hog’s Head pub bar, the easiest way to get this drink and that not many people know about.

Minion Land
At the end of the day I headed to the very last land I was missing to explore: Minion Land.

For the fans of Illumination’s SING, there’s a whole show for you, otherwise like me, you can choose to skip this one. I have never seen this movie.

But what I did ride was Despicable Me Minion Mayhem. It had been over 5 years since the last time I rode it in Orlando or Hollywood, because the lines are too crazy and I am not just very into it.

I barely remembered the ride, and for times caught me off guard. I remember this being 3D, no?

In the middle of the land, there’s a roofed area, carnival style called Super Silly Fun Land.

Here, you can find more rides with ridiculous wait times, but obviously more child oriented.

And to finish exploring this land, and almost at sunset at this point, I passed by Bake my Day, which also opened in Orlando not too long ago.

Yum.

It was almost Parade time, so I went to get a spot by Hollywood, and Gabby was meeting and greeting on the way from Minion Land.

Universal On Parade
Almost at nighttime, the big event at this park was the Universal On Parade, featuring the most relevant characters of the Universal franchises….

…like Fiona and Shrek…

Donkey, Puss in boots and the dragon…

The characters from Madagascar, like Gloria, Marty, Alex…

… and the penguins.

The parade was fun, and everyone was happy to see these floats, very well crafted and produced. This one with the characters from Kung Fu Panda was phenomenal.

Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark
After the parade finished, I went to ride Transformers: Battle for the AllSpark, which had dropped the wait times by now.

Jurassic World
Was I able to squeeze another ride, maybe a repeat from the morning? Yes, yes and yes. I was still so shocked from earlier, that I had to come and ride again Jurassic World Adventure.

But first, I walked around the land, underneath that mountain and waterfall. The views of the other lands were amazing at night.

The water feature is stunning in real life.

But yes, I was going to do the regular line, this time for sure, because I had used my Express Pass.

The use of screens is amazing, similar to the one in Disneyland Shanghai’s Pirates of the Caribbean.

And of course the dinosaur chase is the most thrilling part of the ride.

I did not mention it in the previous post, but I did ride Jurassic Flyers and it is a very different version from the one in Orlando. They make you put everything in the lockers, but the line was one of the worst ones I have had to endure. Full with Easter Eggs and everything but it just did not move, and without a cellphone it is just a torture. The ride was fun though, and lived up to the hype. Now it was time for the Hogwarts Castle show.

Nighttime Magic at Hogwarts Castle
Back to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the Nighttime Magic at Hogwarts Castle was about to start, so I rushed to try to see it as my last activity for the night.

Celebrate the four Hogwarts™ houses as they are brought to life in a stunning spectacle of dazzling lights and music. Watch in awe from Hogsmeade™ village as projections are cast against the majestic backdrop of Hogwarts™ castle inside The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. This six minute nighttime spectacle begins at dusk (start times vary) and continues approximately every 15 minutes until park close.

Loved every minute of it. Really a masterpiece, and a great way to end a full day at Universal Beijing Resort.

A better way is obviously getting ANOTHER butterbeer lol.

Leaving Universal Beijing Resort
As I was walking out with the crowds, I really was amazed by this park, definitely one of the top Universal parks in the world. Difficult for me to place it before or after the one in Japan, but the grandeur of this park is just amazing.

One last pic at the globe, and now it was time to go to the hotel.

As I walked through CityWalk and towards the metro station I was sad that my China part of the trip was coming to an end, but the Asia leg continued in other countries and with great spots.

Thanks to the MetroMan I was able to calculate the route to my hotel, almost 1 hour and then a Didi from the station to the hotel.

Conclusion
Universal Beijing Resort delivered an incredible mix of excitement, nostalgia, and surprises, making it a highlight of my China adventure. From the jaw-dropping stunts at the WaterWorld show to the immersive wonder of Jurassic World and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, every moment felt like stepping into another world. Though the Hogwarts Castle projection show was the perfect finale, the park’s blend of modern technology and themed environments kept me hooked from start to finish.
It’s hard to say goodbye to such an awe-inspiring park, but my journey through Asia still has so much more to offer. If you’re planning a visit, Universal Beijing is a must-visit destination that easily rivals its global counterparts!
