Entering the Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is part of the Holidays in Walt Disney World celebration, and I had the chance to go for the first time ever to this night event in the Magic Kingdom.

I had waited for the early entry to the party at 4:00 PM, when regular day guests were still in the park. There were a lot of clouds and it was almost certain it was going to rain.

Getting earlier was going to allow me to maybe get into some attractions and take advantage of the time in the park. Upon arriving I was given a bracelet, to differentiate the party guests to the regular day guests.

First Gifts

The line into the park was a bit chaotic. It seems that everyone had the same idea of just come the earliest we could, and after being told where to go multiple times, I was able to get into the park and get directed to a side entrance where the cast members were handing event info, maps and a souvenir.

I got this curious Christmas tree decoration.

And this was the information on the pamphlet they handled to everyone coming in. I was going to try to do as much, especially with the food.

Unfortunately for me, it started raining a lot, and the park was so busy that I just lingered in Tomorrowland for a while until they regular guests started leaving. In the meantime, I got a Greek Salad with Chicken from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, which had not started offering the holiday food yet.

Frozen Holiday Surprise

For the first time in forever, Elsa was going to bring Christmas and the holidays to the Cinderella Castle, in this kind of opening of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

And that she DID! She brought snope into the sky of the main stage and the Main Street USA.

The show was cute and finished with fireworks. Even though we could not get a free Happily Ever After, this served as an appetizer for the rest of the night.

Rides offered and Holiday Overlays

• Tron Lightcycle / Run: One of the advantages of this event is that at 6:00 PM, the party guests were able to join the Virtual Queue for Tron Lightcycle / Run.

Riding it as part of this event was great.

• Space Mountain: Holiday Overlay: Holiday lights and music guide you through this attraction during the event. The attraction stops around 6:00 PM, right before the event starts while the layover is added.

• Tomorrowland Speedway: Christmas trees and decorations will be around your ride around this track.

• Haunted Mansion: It does not get the legendary layover that Disneyland gets, but still get some external lights.

Free Holiday Food Offerings

Included in your ticket for this Christmas event, are the unlimited hot drinks and cookies. Hot Cocoa and Apple Cider can be found in multiple locations in the park.

The cookie flavors varies from place to place.

The locations could be found in the map and with this big globe on the front.

Characters Meet and Greets

Multiple characters could be found in many spots in Magic Kingdom. Mirabel from Encanto was the first one I was able to notice.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration

The center of the Celebration is the Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, a show on the Cinderella Castle main stage with all the main characters in the Holiday attires.

And fireworks of course.

Holiday Food Offerings

Not included in the price are the delicious meals with a Holiday twist found ONLY during the celebration. I was able to eat some of these offerings.

• Holiday burger from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: Fries included, this burger had some sweetness from the cranberry jam.

I like it at the end, but it was a bit dry.

• Holiday cake from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: Same location, same order, I snatched the always difficult to get Holiday cake. I mean I thought it was going to be better, but the taste was very generic.

• Festive Tamale from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn: But not all the food is located in Tomorrowland, some other can be found in the west side of the park. This tamale was incredible and very filling. I thought I was not going to able to finish it.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

The Holiday parade was very cute. But keep coming to the main hall of the park was a bit exhausting, especially if you want to enjoy some rides. In total 4 events are located in this area, and with such a short event, I would rather stay very close if you do not want to miss them.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show

The Grand Finale was the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. The party was going to still be available for an hour but people were lining up to see the fireworks and projection show.

With a mix of Christmas music and classic Disney jams, the fireworks were just amazing.

And just before everyone else, I had made my way to the start of the Main Street to leave the park. I was not going to get trapped without getting an Uber lol. The party was great, but very fast and with little time to do all the main stuff. Would I come back? Yes, probably in a couple of years.
