Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace

In Part I of this report from Las Vegas, I got to visit 10 resorts plus other areas of The Strip. I still had around 24 hours in this fabulous city, and a reservation was waiting at one of the most famous eateries of Las Vegas: Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace.

I checked in really quick, and they called my name. Proceeded to pay, it was around $90 plus taxes. For this price I was expected to eat a lot, but there was a time limit of 90 minutes to enjoy All I Could Eat. So, since it was the Crab Brunch I jumped in line as soon as I could to get some fresh seafood.

Round 01 consisted on Seafood mostly. I devoured the crab legs, shrimp and grits (which I always love), and many other delicacies from the sea. It was very good, and the sauces definitely added that extra flavor. Back in Alaska, I tried the king crab, I believe for the first time, and oh boy, this time was even better.

On Round 02, I decided to go for the kitchen on the back, where you could find the Asian dishes, like dumplings, duck, salmon. I also got a couple of things from the Italian kitchen, but was mostly focused on proteins (clearly). Additionally, I got a big piece of very raw meat, that thought was going to upset my stomach but did not do.

After slowly eating the 2nd round for about an hour, I decided to spend the last few minutes I had left, with round 03 being only desserts. I waited in line to get a sweet crepe and picked some desserts from that section. Loved every single one of them.

Even though I base off my main meals here with the recommendations of yet another youtuber, I found that the price is not worth for the time you are given for the meals. Drinks are included, and food is good, with some exceptional items, but 90 minutes is just ridiculous. Would I probably come back? Maybe, but I am not really a guy of buffets.

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace

And now, oh Lord. I was so full, I really needed to walk off all this food. And what a better place to do it than walking around The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

This beautiful competes with the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas as the most opulent of this city.

Just look at the gorgeous decorations. I know Las Vegas is all an amalgam of fake but you gotta give them props for doing it very well.

Checking in Park MGM

I had brought my suitcase to the buffet, when I checked out from Paris Las Vegas, and now I was walking with it everywhere. I discovered there was a tram that connected The Bellagio with my next hotel: Park MGM.

So I walked all the way back to The Bellagio, and waited for the little tram. All this walking really helped me digest all the food from the buffet, but was still very full.

Checking in was very easy, although the lobby was kinda far from the last stop on the tram. The room was cute and had a great view compared to the one in Paris Las Vegas.

Just look at this. New York-New York and the T-Mobile Arena were part of this amazing view I had.

And tonight, the House of Music Festival by IHeartRadio was going to be held. I had heard a lot of people talking about it, but had no idea what it was.

I took a quick deserved nap, and started to get ready for a marathonic evening exploring the resorts on the south of The Strip.

Luxor Hotel & Casino

I got an Uber to Luxor Hotel & Casino, and got in. Wow! I was not really expecting the emptiness of the pyramid structure.

And everything built in the center. All the rooms also located on the walls of the pyramid. Scary.

Just image that from the room hallways, you cannot really see any floor below, besides the main floor.

But here in this Ground Floor I was enjoying all it offered. It is a very vast space, and has stuff like The Titanic Exhibition…

But after walking around, now it was time to take yet another tram, this time to the next door hotel: Excalibur.

Excalibur Hotel & Casino

The memories. I stayed here back in September 2013, 10 years ago, with my mom, in our first trip to Las Vegas. I really liked this resort. And even though it does not offer much, I felt I was winning by staying in The Strip and not anywhere else.

But for now I had to say goodbye to this cutie, and it was time to go back to my hometown.

New York-New York Hotel & Casino

It is easy to walk around these hotels on the south, since they are all interconnected, but one I wanted to visit for a long time was New York-New York Hotel & Casino.

First, because I live in the real NYC, and second, because it just looks so much fun with the roller coaster around it, like what.

And also, I wanted to walk around the NYC replica, EPCOT style, streets of Manhattan. The facades looked very cute, and yeah, kinda reminded me of New York City.

Obviously, without all the traffic and the craziness of the city I love lol.

In this hotel, I decided to visit The Chocolate Bar, which is adjacent to Hershey’s Chocolate World. While you are here take a look at my blog from Hersheypark.

I got the Peanut Butter Cup Martini. It was strong! I know it was a Saturday night, but the bartender did not have to give me this much alcohol lol. I still drank it all and enjoyed the sweetness of it.

After I while, I left this hotel to go across the street….

MGM Grand

…to MGM Grand. There was not much here, besides a very long mall with a path to the MGM Grand Conference Center. But everything was still busy.

The Hunger Games The Exhibition intrigued me, especially with the new movie out now in November 2023.

Park MGM

It was very late at night, and it was time to go back to the hotel, and maybe eat time. A long time had passed since the buffet and was starting to get hungry.

I entered to the Eataly access to Park MGM, and even though there is one in NYC, I think I have never tried it. So, I went to La Pizzeria and got myself a ham sandwich.

The sandwich was the perfect sandwich for what I needed this night. And it was good too.

ARIA Resort & Casino

Waky, waky! It was Day 03 of my Las Vegas experience, and even though I was destined to stay one more night, this time in Caesars Palace, I cancelled all that to give space to Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood. I know!

But I had to buy and switch flights, cancel hotels, and everything, during my stay. But before my flight, I wanted to squish another resort to the list, even though I had been here the day before: ARIA Resort & Casino.

From Park MGM is very easy to get there, just a lot of walk tho. I decided to grab breakfast in the ARIA Patisserie. Just disclaimer: this place is famous, and you should be ready to stand in line for a while, especially during breakfast.

I got the breakfast sandwich to go, and it was so good. Juicy and perfectly toasted.

Harry Reid Las Vegas International Airport

I got myself back into my hotel, checked out and took an Uber to the airport. Thankfully it is located just minutes away. But this airport never stops surprising me with all the stuff you can find in here.

The view quickly reminded me that I was in an oasis city in the middle of the desert. Like who even had the idea of building a city in here. Just wow.

And The Sphere was giving me a last show from afar, kinda inviting me to come back and see one those shows from the inside.

As I went to Burbank, to visit Universal Studios Hollywood, I enjoyed the view of the vastness of the Nevada and California desert. Just wow.

Conclusion

I was able to check 16 resorts in the 3 days, 2 nights I stayed in Las Vegas. Plus other spaces. I discovered new things to do in my fourth time in this city, and I think I already want to come back to continue discovering even more. It always amaze that even though I am not attracted at all to the gambling, and other things that could bring you to the Sin City, I am always interested in checking in here and there. Viva Las Vegas!
