Enchanted Evening: My Epic Magical Adventure at Hong Kong Disneyland
What a day! I spent 3 hours in Hong Kong Disneyland in the morning, and got to do *everything*. Then, I went to the city center and explored some areas that I had visited in the past, and other ones completely new for me. And now, I was on my way back to the them park because I did not want to miss the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular. The evening fireworks show of this park. I also wanted to see if I could squeeze a couple more rides before this event, and also, needed to be done with this park, because in just a few hours I had to rush to the hotel, grab my suitcase, and then go to airport to flight to another continent lol. The stress was building up. But I just needed to get back.

I got off in the Sunny Bay Station, and waited for the Disneyland Resort Line. I was very late. I was supposed to be back before 5 PM. But I got too greedy on what I wanted to do in the city. Regardless, the day pass I got for the subway was really useful.

I finally made it back to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, and there were way more people than in the morning when I left. Time to go through security again.

After I passed by security, I only had to show my ticket again. It was weird they would not mark my wrist like they did in Tokyo, but it was probably because the park was not as full.

I got to finally see the castle all light up, and the Duffy and friends were the protagonists of this season. People really love them, and I had just seen them fot the first time a few days ago in Tokyo Disneyland.

They were everywhere, including in food, like in the Main Street Corner Cafe, where you could find cream buns and cheesecakes with these characters.

I finally caved in for the non-caffeinated drinks at Starbucks, and got a Cheesecake Frappuccino, which I loved. I also could not have any caffeine knowing I was going to be on a 11 hours flight in a few hours and needed to sleep there. I sat down in a very comfortable rocking chair in the middle of Main Street, and enjoyed my drink, and relaxed after a day of running around.

After I finished with that started walking around and noticed once again, the Castle of Magical Dreams, which represents the 12 Disney princesses and 2 Frozen queens. A very inclusive castle, I wonder if the Orlando one would follow as well.

I wanted to squeeze and attraction before the fireworks, so I checked the Hong Kong Disneyland app, and the times were not crazy but I could not wait too long in line. I walked around Tomorrowland to see if the wait times maybe would not match the reality of the lines, but I was scared that I would miss the fireworks. Finally, I remember the Premier Access tickets that I still had. I bought this whole thing with 8 attractions, and barely used it earlier in the day. “it’s a small world” was available, so I went to check it out.

The attraction was a walk on, athough the chlorine smell was very strong in this one.

I was surprised that just like in the Anaheim Disneyland version, the Intellectual Properties of Disney were exposed on this ride. I like that actually.

After it was finished, and tried to get that song out of my head, I rushed to see the nighttime show. It was about to start!

The time has come to finally see the “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular, and then rush out of the park. My adrenaline was off the charts.

20 minutes was going to last this show, and it included everything: fireworks, a water show, mapping (3D projections) on the castle and the water, lasers, fire. I had everything lol. And also it included scenes from a lot of Disney and Pixar IP.

The show was not only beautiful, but very well crafted. I was scared that the overproduction and multisensorial situation would make it look like a mess, but somehow it worked.
Obviously, around the end of the show, I started to walk back trying to avoid the crowd leaving at the very end. I was scared that the Ubers were going to be called and I would have to wait.

I finally left the park, called the Uber and was en route to my hotel and then the airport. See the next chapter here.
